Tertiary passes must be obtained at tertiary campus agencies or from the Britomart Transport Centre. A valid Student ID must be shown to receive concessionary fares. Senior Citizen Super Gold Card holders and those with ARTA-approved Senior Citizens ID travel free after 9.00am weekdays and anytime on weekends and public holidays. Cards and IDs must be shown otherwise full fares apply. A Stage Two fare applies between Pukekohe and Papakura. ** Special Offer **
The Day Rover Pass and the Family Pass have been extended to include Pukekohe. This will continue until further notice.

| Fare and Payment Information |
Veolia Transport ticketing staff on-board trains accept New Zealand legal tender coins and notes and cheques (with valid ID). Station based ticketing staff accept eftpos, cash, credit card (not AMEX or Diners) and cheques (with valid ID.) You must have a valid ticket or pass to ride the train. Fare evasion will result in offenders being prohibited from using rail services and possible prosecution. A valid ticket must be produced on demand by a Veolia Transport employee. If this is not produced, the full Single Fare for the journey (for an Adult or Child) must be paid immediately by the passenger. Children under 5 years travel for free. They must be accompanied by a fare paying adult or guardian. Children 5 - 15 years are entitled to a child concession fare. School Students 16 - 19 years are entitled to a child concession fare with valid Auckland secondary school identification or if wearing school uniform. Full-time tertiary students are eligible for a discount on multi-ride tickets. Available only at approved tertiary ticket agencies with proof of current full-time tertiary enrolment. Senior Citizens 65+ years are entitled to free train travel upon presentation of a Super Gold Card or an ARTA-approved Senior Citizens ID. Free travel is available after 9.00am Monday to Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday and public holidays. Blind or intellectually disabled passengers are entitled to a concession fare with valid identification. Guide dogs may travel on all services free of charge. Accessibility Most services operating on the Auckland passenger rail network are equipped with wheelchair ramps. Wheelchairs may be carried at any time. Some types of mobility scooters may also be carried in off-peak times. Please contact 09 969 7777 in advance of your travel to ensure that the service you wish to travel on carries a ramp. If you require assistance boarding the train or traveling on the train, please ask either the onboard or platform staff. Guide dogs may travel on all services free of charge.
